Ouch, my cabbage!
Well, the leaves are almost all off the tree now. The last couple of storms have brought down most of them. And the apocalyptic rain they are calling for tomorrow should take care of the rest. In between waves, we have to rescue the cabbage and greens from the onslaught.
On the upside, the lack of leaves on the tree should let more sun in to help the plants now that it is colder.

Now the leaves are completely gone. Except for the big pile that won't fit in the can yet. Even with the sucker/mulcher, it still takes a few weeks of collection before they will all be gone.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to put out the green waste can today so an extra week with the leaf pile is in store. At least I raked them all off the grass this time. Last year we ended up with a big patch of dead grass.
That whole end of the yard by the shed gets very little direct sun. I should really put a patio in!
